Shipping policy
At Session Candle Co, we hand-pour each candle in small batches in Brooklyn, New York. Because our products are artisanal and made with natural soy and beeswax, please review our shipping guidelines below.
1. Order Processing Times
Standard Orders: All candles are made to order. Please allow 3–5 business days for your order to be processed and hand-poured before shipping.
Peak Seasons: During holidays or special community events, processing may extend to 7–10 business days. We will notify you via email if there is a significant delay.
2. Shipping Rates & Estimates
Shipping charges for your order will be calculated and displayed at checkout.
Standard Shipping: (USPS/UPS) 3–5 business days.
Expedited Shipping: 1–2 business days.
Free Shipping: We offer free standard shipping on all domestic orders over $75.
3. Local Pickup (Brooklyn)
Are you local to NYC? We offer free pickup from our Brooklyn studio. Select "Local Pickup" at checkout, and you will receive an email notification when your order is ready (usually within 3 business days).
4. Summer Shipping (Heat Protection)
Candles are sensitive to heat. During summer months (June–September), we typically ship orders Monday through Wednesday to prevent packages from sitting in warm warehouses over the weekend. We recommend being present for delivery to ensure your candles aren't left in the heat.
5. Shipment Confirmation & Tracking
You will receive a shipment confirmation email containing your tracking number(s) once your order has shipped. The tracking number will be active within 24 hours.
6. Damages & Issues
Session Candle Co is not liable for products damaged or lost during shipping. However, if you receive your order damaged, please contact us at kpatterson@milahinc.com within 48 hours of delivery with a photo of the packaging and the damaged goods so we can help you file a claim with the carrier.
7. International Shipping
We currently ship within the United States and Canada. Customers are responsible for any customs and taxes applied to their order.
